CLINICAL LABORATORY MANAGER

Shriners Hospitals for Children Northern California, the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury and pediatric subspecialties medical center, has an exceptional opportunity for a results-driven Clinical Laboratory professional with a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of children. This is an opportunity to lead a program and team of licensed staff as Manager of Clinical Laboratory. Shriners Hospital is the largest provider of pediatric sub-specialty orthopedic and burn care in Northern California and is recognized by US News and World Report as a top pediatric hospital in the country.
 
The selected candidate will provide leadership and management for the Clinical Laboratory Department as well as supervise, design, assign and/or perform all aspects of pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical laboratory testing. Other responsibilities include ensuring laboratory quality of service, consistency of care and adherence to department and regulatory agencies standards; supervising staff; and developing and maintaining department budgets and other fiscal controls.
 
Must have a current CA Department of Health Services Clinical Laboratory Scientist license and 5 or more years of technical experience in a Clinical Laboratory. Experience in a supervisory/managerial position is preferred.
